Tube
tire tubes were also gathered for my project so that I could also make jewelry with them.
They needed to be washed to get rid of the dust before I could work with them.
The piece's construction was inspired by a brick modern architecture wall.
the procedure began by cutting the tubes into the aforementioned shapes and stacking them with rubber glue.
the components were created in big quantities, and I stitched them together while experimenting with what pattern to use.
Using something that was once enormous and transforming it into a substantial shape was another aspect of this sculpture that I enjoyed creating.
A strap made from leftover leather will be attached as the piece's neck hanging mechanism.
I used a cooper and a brass strip to cut out forms while using a plate cutter for other sections. I ended up with some interesting strips with round holes that I liked, so I chose to place them on the hanging mechanism of the neckpiece to add features.
The srtips were divided into parts and folded to create the distinctive shape with the holes.
The
second work, which similarly draws inspiration from modern architecture, was
made from tyre tubes. My tubes were cut into square shapes, and I made as many
of them as I could. Next, I stacked the square shapes on top of one another to
create a tower. At first, I had my doubts about the concept and the way the
pieces were made, but as I placed them together, I noticed that they formed the
shape of a star of David with the square shapes since each shape is stalked
with a cross pattern.
I started by cutting as many square shapes as I could, then I started building them up to form a tower.
Initially, I was dubious about the concept and the way the piece was put together, but as I continued to combine my forms, I saw a beginning of a David pattern.
A leather scrap that I found that is heavier and thicker and would compliment the item will be attached to the hanging mechanism.
The neckpiece had flexibility and wasn't overly tight because the leather strap and the tube segment were connected with a nail.
